About Us

About Us....where do I begin.  This little piece of heaven was just a dream.  A dream to help me thru a difficult time 12 years ago.  There was nothing to do in a hospital room for 4 months at the Mayo Clinic.  Going thru a bone-marrow transplant, I had plenty of time to think and dream.   A dream of mine was always to build a little cabin in the woods and have a farm.  Having the best husband in the world and doing great after the transplant, we decided to build our dream home on a small piece of land in Dorr, MI  With twin daughters who wanted horses, our journey began.  It started with horses, then Rabbits, and then chickens.  The twins then decided to build a small shelter for cows while dad was in Germany.  To his surprise, he came home to two baby cows.  Dad loves his cows now.   Our girls showed 4h thru the years, and went off to college.   Our farm has expanded beyond our dreams.  I love growing our own food, and knowing what is in it.  Every season I'm adding something to our farm to "live of the land"  or I'm just crazy. You can decide.  Canning, Hunting, and farming are just some of our passions.
